You may notice that this is a repost. Please know that after this post most of the other blog posts I do under this tab will be very Ship Centric, meaning that It will be biased around a specific ship rather than the show the characters are from. When I was first introduced to netflix, I would spend time with my mom and friends watching family friendly stuff, like Once Upon A Time, The Three Musketeers, Mia and me, Jack and the Cuckoo Clock Heart, The Nightmare Before Christmas, A Monster in Paris, and many more clearly. Recently(Not really) I have been getting into the more stimulating material, such as Sherlock(finished x2) Hannibal(watching x2) and Murdoch Mysteries, which I am going to complain a bit here because NETFLIX WHY DON'T YOU HAVE ANY OF THE FIRST SEASONS! Anyways for some reason I rather enjoy TV shows that include High-functioning Sociopaths equipped with a short friend and a long coat and Cannibals equipped with Cannibal puns and Tight shirts(damn). Today I figured I would talk about what got me into the Hannibal fandom and what attracted me to the show. First why I didn't want to watch it, I thought the blood and gore would get to me, or that it would bore me and I would revert to kids shows again(not a bad alternative) I Just know that when I was on the inter-webs before I got into the Fandom, I hardly saw anything about the HanniFandom ANYWHERE, so maybe I assumed it was boring and that it clearly wasn't worth my time(BOY WAS I WRONG). So interesting fact I was kinda into Supernatural, I watched it with my mom, and I didn't really ship Destiel till after I watched a video Made by AreTheyGay(<--click n' Follow) on YouTube Are They Gay? - Dean and Castiel(Destiel) (<--Click here for video) and I started looking for any chance of the ship sailing. SO as I was perusing the chances of previous shows I watched, possibly gay characters- I came across: Are They Gay? - Hannibal Lecter and Will Graham(<--Click for Video) I thought that maybe I should watching, and most of the other videos made by these creators are mostly pinning and it never happening because the writers never put that in and stuff, so I wasn't expecting much, I hardly thought the show would interest me really, and because I was bored that day I decided to watch it. I watched the whole thing, you know it went, the eyeing of each other, odd looks, one sided pinning, and Hannibal being interested in a friendship for the first time in a while. Turns out, the ship is TECHNICALLY CANNON!! (at least on Hannibals side, but I don't mind) my world exploded... I watched the show instantly, perhaps at first just for the Hannigram it offered, but I also began to love the show, the story, the... DESIGN. The show was so dark and realistic, but it was portrayed with a cruel grace and I fell... SO damn hard for it man. If you watch Sherlock as well as Hannibal you know that crazy just attracts more crazy for some reason, it seems just to be a life style, and because Will has his Empathy disorder(that Jack abuses constantly) He can connect with EVERYONE, and Hannibal wants to connect with Will because he knows that Will would understand*Crying* its just... so... beautiful... I enjoy hearing how the murders think and how they create their murders, like it was art rather than killing, it may just be my inner physiologist talking, but oddly enough the entire thing excites me rather than scares me with the fact that there are people like this living in our world even as you read this, even with my second go of watching it... it just... over all mystifys me. I know that many people hate how the TV show ended, but I personally thought it was very eye opening aswell as poetic and savory, and, in an odd way, they both went out doing what they loved.
